  • NIMS University Rajasthan is delighted to announce the forthcoming "National Moot Court Competition 2023", proudly organized by The Bar Council of India Trust (Pearl First). This three-day event will bring together skilled law students from prestigious institutions nationwide, which will provide an opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to demonstrate their legal insight and astute advocacy skills.

    The event will be scheduled from 19th August 2023 to 21st August 2023 at the university campus. As the first-ever National Moot Court Competition to be held in Rajasthan state, it promises to be an intellectually stimulating platform, fostering the growth of future legal luminaries.

    NIMS School of Law, in association with The Bar Council of India Trust (Pearl First), culminated in the organization of this inter-university competition, driven by the shared goal of offering a platform for law students and professionals to exhibit their talents, nurture their advocacy skills, and acquire invaluable experience in the field of law. Additionally, the event facilitates extensive networking opportunities, fostering connections among students, academicians, and legal professionals alike.

    All the participating universities across India are enthusiastically engaged in this event. The teams that secure victory and the runner-up in the competition will receive Merit certificates and prizes. Additionally, students acknowledged as the top performers in each round of the contest by the Bar Council of India Trust will be eligible for one-year scholarships of Rs. 2000 per month.

    The National Moot Court Competition offers students a vital platform to refine their legal knowledge, improve their oratory skills, and participate in legal debates as they enter the competition, among many others. Through the simulation of a courtroom environment, this competition equips participants with practical insights into the intricacies and difficulties faced in the legal profession.

    Arranged and well-thought by legal experts, the competition will showcase intriguing hypothetical cases, encouraging participants to scrutinize legal matters, conduct comprehensive research, and deliver compelling arguments. A panel of distinguished judges, esteemed legal practitioners, and renowned academicians will ensure an impartial and thorough evaluation process.

    Along with the acclaimed legal professionals and renowned advocates, the event will be adorned by the gracious presence of the Judges from the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and Hon'ble High Court of India. 

    At Nims University, we believe that the pursuit of excellence is not only a virtue but an obligation. With this vision in mind, the National Moot Court competition aims to challenge participants to push the boundaries of legal reasoning and eloquence. It is a platform where they can demonstrate their in-depth understanding of complex legal issues and engage in thought-provoking discussions that transcend the ordinary.

    This event will serve as a platform for thought-provoking debates, ardent legal comprehension, and the exchange of insights among eminent legal minds. NIMS School of Law has been a leading institution dedicated to delivering excellent legal education to students hailing from various parts of India. The upcoming National moot court competition will showcase the university's dedication to offering students practical legal exposure. I am filled with immense joy to share that NIMS University is collaborating with the Bar Council of India Trust (Pearl First) to host the prestigious National Moot Court right here in our beloved state. It is a momentous occasion for NIMS School of Law and Rajasthan as a whole.

The decision of the Bar Council of India to select NIMS University as the venue for the inaugural National-level Moot Court in Rajasthan is a testament to the dedication and caliber of our institution. We graciously accept this honor and promise to deliver an event that will surpass all expectations. Indeed, this is a proud moment for all of us associated with NIMS University; it marks a significant milestone in our journey toward academic excellence and legal prowess.
